Senior Women

Season 2023/24

ANUCC field a senior women's team in 2nd grade in the Premier Competition in Cricket ACT, which is made up of T20 and One Day matches (40 overs). All matches are played on turf wickets (real wickets, not synthetic) and use the Kookaburra white ball. Players of all skill level and experience are welcome to join the team.

 

ANUCC players are eligible for selection by Cricket ACT for the 1st Grade women's competition which will comprise of 2 teams in season 2023/24, with a mixture of T20's and One Day matches (50 overs).

 

Training

Sunday 17th and 24th September 2023, 1:00pm to 3:00pm at ANU South Oval.

Monday and Tuesdays from 02 October 2023, 5:30pm-7:15pm at ANU South Oval.

 

Matches

The season begins on 14 October with 2nd Grade matches (T20 and 40overs) played on Saturdays. Our home ground is O'Connor Oval and we play away at various locations across ACT and Queanbeyan. 1st Grade play Sundays with dates TBC.

Please see our registration page for updated fee prices and instructions on how to register. Fees go towards costs such as ground hire, a ball for each match, umpire fees, coaching, insurance, training equipment and cricket wicket preparation.  

Uniforms

On match day we wear Royal Blue shirts and blue pants made by sports brand Masuri. Our uniforms are women's fit but players also have the option to wear mens fit uniforms if that's more comfortable. Masuri also make our training apparel (not compulsory), which is available to purchase online using this website during ordering windows: ANUCC Masuri Team Wear.

 

Social

We are planning a pre-season launch at The Howling Moon, (roof top bar) which is one of our sponsors for this season. After matches we go to The RUC in Turner which is another club sponsor. End of season presentation night will be at the Rex Hotel, below the Howling Moon.
